Ancestral Literacy is the principle that the ancestors "communicate" to the living by various and often subtle means in both lived and imaginal realms. Interpreting the ways in which the ancestors speak can contribute towards both personal and collective healing and the retrieval of skills and intrinsic knowledge. Learning the language of the ancestors is vital for this modern age as a way of connecting backwards for the purpose of living fully.
Many people believe that the old ways are lost but for those who know how to listen, there is a realm of knowledge within easy grasp. Globally, and on all levels, life as we have known it is at a tipping point. We cannot go back, and the idealistic notion of a perfect and romanticized past does not exist. However, the ancestors hold lessons to be learned, knowledge needing reinstating, skills recalled, and old tongues moistened.
